What is TEAHRA?
TEAHRA is a Research Translation Centre based in the Top End of the Northern Territory, and is a collaboration between Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, NT Government, Research and Education Institutions, and funders.

Purpose
To facilitate Aboriginal-led research that makes a difference to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in the Top End.
As a collaboration, TEAHRA partners:
- have a history of supporting research that translates to improvements in health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal people;
- understand the context in which we work, including the social, economic and cultural determinants of health, as well as the impacts of colonisation, disadvantage and systemic racism that underpins disparities in health;
- bring the skills, experiences and expertise from Aboriginal Community Controlled, Government, health and workforce support, and the research and education sectors, to champion Aboriginal-led research and training promoting structural and systemic change for sustained improvements in the health, wellbeing, and lives of Aboriginal people.
TEAHRA is an accredited national Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Research Translation Centre.
